With 1992 Pro Set, we looked at 11 University of Houston golfers. Now with 1982, we have another 7 golfers which shows even more how many great Cougar golfers there are.
All of these cards are from the 1982 Donruss set.
Keith Fergus #21
Ed Fiori #36
Tom Jenkins #54
Bruce Lietzke #4 and #64
John Mahaffey #24 (I love the Cougar red pants and shirt)
Bill Rogers #5
Jim Simons #33

Jim Simons wasn't a Coog very long. He didn't care much for the program according to <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=2314849>this story.</a> He could be characterized as 'different'.
Commish: Thanks for more of the story. I'll be honest, I know very little about golf in general.
I appreciate every comment I get. I can read the media guides and stories, but until I went to school at UH in 1986, I knew very little about it. Comments from people in the know make this blog so much more interesting, to the readers and to me.
Messed up the code there, didn't I?
Right here is where the Simons story lies.
